EQM Indexes LLC has assembled a team of financial and industry professionals with years of experience to serve on its Blockchain Index Committee.
The members of the EQM Indexes LLC Blockchain Index Committee are:
Jane Edmondson
Co-Founder of EQM Indexes LLC and Founder of EQM Capital LLC.
Ms. Edmondson is a former Quantitative Portfolio Manager with Allianz Global Investors and its predecessor firm Nicholas-Applegate. She started her career at Merrill Lynch and has more than 30 years of experience in the investment industry. She holds an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University and a BA from UC Irvine.
Gabriel Rojo
Founder and General Manager of Emerita Capital Indices, Inc.
Mr. Rojo is the founder and GM of Emerita Capital, an independent financial research firm specializing in Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence. He has been involved in the Blockchain space since 2012 with multiple tech startups and research initiatives. He previously led technology products in several Silicon Valley companies, including Cisco Systems and Quinstreet Inc. Before coming to the U.S., he ran a digital marketing company in Europe that used machine learning to create digital content for advertisers. Gabriel holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science, and has earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Merav Ozair, PhD
Founder of Digital Novelty; Data Scientist, Quant Strategist and Crypto/Blockchain Expert
Dr. Ozair has more than 12 years of business and consulting experience and an in-depth knowledge and experience in global financial markets and its market microstructure. Currently, she applies her unique expertise to investigating the blockchain ecosystem, digital assets and crypto markets. In particular, she has been developing innovative methodologies to evaluate digital assets and crypto markets, including cryptocurrency indexes, valuation metrics, ratings and tokenized products.
Dr. Ozair is the founder of Digital Novelty – assisting institutional investors navigate the Crypto Market and make smart investments, through in-depth research and analysis, proprietary indexes, metrics, ratings and a proprietary valuation framework for crypto markets and digital assets.
Dr. Ozair has over 15 years teaching experience and is currently teaching at NYU. Her research interests include Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Market Microstructure, Risk Modeling and Macroeconomics. She also conducts workshops for financial professionals at CFANY (formerly New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA)), ELEV8, TABB Training, and; webinars for Market Technicians Association (MTA), and for Professional Risk Management International Association (PRMIA). She earned her PhD in Finance from Stern Business School at NYU.
Paul Ang
Mr. Ang, EQM’s Natural Resource and Thematic Equity Specialist, was formerly Partner, Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Summit Global Management, Inc., managing Summit’s Water Equity Fund and Water Infrastructure Multifactor ETF. Prior to joining Summit Global Management, he worked for Paine Webber and Bank of America and has more than 25 years of financial industry experience. He earned his M.S. in Finance and B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
