COMMITTEE/TEAM
EQM Indexes LLC has assembled a team of financial and industry professionals with years of experience to serve on its Index Committee.
The members of the EQM Lithium & Battery Technology Index Committee are:
Jane Edmondson
Co-Founder of EQM Indexes LLC and Founder of EQM Capital LLC.
Ms. Edmondson is a former Quantitative Portfolio Manager with Allianz Global Investors and its predecessor firm Nicholas-Applegate. She started her career at Merrill Lynch and has more than 30 years of experience in the investment industry. She holds an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University and a BA from UC Irvine.
Dan Janowiak
Co-Founder of EQM Indexes LLC. Mr. Janowiak was previously a Senior Vice President of Business Development with LM Capital Group and worked for Allianz Global Investors where he focused on institutional sales, client service, and consultant relations. He has held senior sales and advisory roles for Private Asset Management, American Century Investments, and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. He received a BA degree in Marketing from Western Illinois University.
Duncan T. Blount
Mr. Blount is currently CEO and Director of Decklar Resources Inc. (TSX-V: DKL), a West Africa-focused independent oil & gas exploration and production company. He is also a Director of Ponce de Leon Mining LLC, a privately-held emeralds exploration and development company focused on Colombia’s eastern and western emerald belts; and is on the Advisory Board of Ocean Minerals LLC, a privately-held deep ocean seabed minerals exploration and development company focused on polymetallic nodules in the Cook Islands.
Previously, he was Head of Emerging & Frontier Markets Commodities at RWC Partners in Miami, Florida. Prior to RWC, Duncan was a Senior Analyst at Baobab Investment Management, a commodities-focused hedge fund manager and physical minerals trader; and was an Analyst at Everest Capital, an emerging and frontier markets-focused hedge fund manager.
He holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in Language & World Trade from Samford University.
John L. Petersen, Attorney
Mr. Petersen is a practicing attorney with over 40 years of experience in SEC registration, reporting and compliance, project finance, taxation, and international law. He has C-level experience in the oil & gas, mining, and battery industries. Mr. Petersen currently serves as a managing partner of the C Change Group, of non-executive director of Giyani Metals Corp., and as an advisor to Ocean Minerals LLC. He is a global thought leader in energy storage, sustainable energy, and electric vehicle space.
Over the last decade, he has earned a global following for his analysis of and articles on the energy storage and sustainable energy sectors. He has been a contributor to Seeking Alpha, The Street, NASDAQ.com, AltEnergyStocks, InvestorIntel, Metals + Mining Pundits, and Batteries International Magazine. He is also a frequent speaker at industry conferences on the topics of sustainable energy and electrification.
He earned his law degree from The Notre Dame Law School and holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Arizona State University.
